China Visa Requirements

urist Visa (L Visa)

Planning to visit China for tourism? Bangladeshi ordinary passport holders applying for a China Tourist Visa (L Visa) should prepare the following documents. Requirements may vary depending on the applicant’s circumstances and the details of the trip.

1. Passport

  • Original passport with at least 6 months of remaining validity.
  • At least 2 blank visa pages.
  • Clear copy of the passport bio-data page.
  • Previous passport(s), if available, particularly previous Chinese visas and travel records.

2. Photograph

  • Recent colour passport-size photograph.
  • White background.
  • Photograph must meet the required Chinese visa photo specifications.

3. Visa Application

  • Complete the China Visa Application Form online.
  • Upload the required supporting documents through the Chinese Visa Application Service Center.
  • Print the relevant application/visa application certificate after online submission, as instructed.
  • Additional interview or document submission may be required depending on the application.

4. Travel Documents

  • Round-trip air ticket reservation.
  • Confirmed hotel reservation.
  • Detailed travel itinerary within China.
  • Alternatively, an eligible invitation letter may be provided where applicable.

5. Financial Documents

  • Recent bank statement.
  • Financial documents should demonstrate sufficient funds for the planned stay.
  • For Bangladesh applications, the Embassy’s published guidance specifies that the bank statement should demonstrate at least USD 100 per day of stay.
  • Bank solvency certificate, where applicable.
  • Additional financial documents may be requested.

6. Professional Documents

For Job Holders

  • Employment certificate / salary certificate.
  • No Objection Certificate (NOC).
  • Recent salary slips.
  • Office ID Card.
  • Visiting Card, where applicable.

For Business Owners

  • Valid Trade License.
  • Company registration documents.
  • Company letterhead / office pad.
  • Visiting Card.
  • Business financial documents, where applicable.

For Students

  • Student ID Card.
  • Proof of enrollment.
  • Leave certificate from the educational institution, where applicable.

7. Family & Personal Documents

  • National ID Card (NID).
  • Marriage Certificate / Nikah Nama, where applicable.
  • Children’s Birth Certificates, where applicable.
  • Sponsorship and relationship documents if the trip is financially sponsored by a family member.

8. Previous China Travel — For Multiple Entry

Applicants requesting double-entry or multiple-entry visas may need to provide evidence of previous valid trips to China, such as previous Chinese visas and entry/exit stamps.

Application Process in Bangladesh

Ordinary passport holders in Bangladesh submit Chinese visa applications through the Chinese Visa Application Service Center (CVASC) in Dhaka. The current process requires applicants to complete the online application and pass the preliminary review before submitting their passport and documents.
